Text formatting. Am I stupid?

    Am I right in assuming that if you copy and paste text into a Post it will automatically format to the default style? I’m wondering this because I am looking at one Post I created and all the type is in BOLD. So, I assumed it would be a matter of going back into editing, highlighting the text and clicking on B as usual to unbolden it. Instead the B in the box above for formatting has disappeared. So what do you do?
