Text formatting SUCKS!

    To whom it may concern.

    As a former international IT problem solver for over 9 years, builder of my own pc’s and five years working in relationship to the IT world, in four departments as well as outsource support engineer in three languages; it was my role to make it simple, make it work. Function through methodologies blind folded to resolve complex functionality issues, one of those unsung heroes who were delegated all and never praised for creating ground breaking efficiencies ( I am not an IT man any more, considered obsolete of course, just a user now) ….I was not a ‘code cutter’/ programmer, or designer from a career perspective, but I did my bit and as much as those boys and girls were glamourised and liked to blow their trumpets, one thing had a way of standing out….did they really know anything about the f***ing end user interface experience despite all those bloody focus groups and meetings…I’ll come to the point post indulging my half smurking rant. *Your text formatting tools within the interface suck big time, you can’t even do simple stuff like ‘font size’ being able to handle efficiently simple ‘line and paragraph breaks.’ Seriously. I mean I’ve heard all the rants of the go to application for text working, but I wonder, how’s that??? Perhaps its different if I download the app and do everything off line before loading up, but I’ll be damned to start learning all over again bloody html, dhtml, xml, css, version bla bla bla. At some stage I was looking to get a domain and use wordpress for all it boasts for my authored works, but it really is beggining to look like a well marketed pain the arse. For goodness sake, even blogger offers more and better text tools and templates.

    Feel free to stick this one up on the cafeteria wall for a chuckle.
