Text in CAPS – need lowercase

Hi all,

The text I have on my posts is coming up in capital letters (which looks very loud), so I need to change them to lower case! Any idea how I do this?

Specifically what is it that you are looking for to be lower case. I looked at your blog and saw a lot of text that had lower case letters.

I see what you mean. All of your titles are in caps and it does look pretty loud. I can’t tell which theme you’re using, though. If you post the name of it here I can help you figure out if there’s a css based solution.

From what I see, you are using the Tonal theme (https://wordpress.org/themes/tonal/).

I’m looking at your blog and things looks pretty well, on the main page but on individual posts, too.

Are you referring to headings like this ones here (https://wanderwonderyonderworld.com/2017/07/29/wellbeing-wishes) like: “FIND AN EXERCISE YOU ENJOY”, “LEARN HOW TO COOK” etc. ?

Hello!

I can see what you mean! As mihaiapetrei mentioned, it looks like you are using the Tonal Theme. Uppercase letters for headers appears to be a standard behavior for this theme. If you’d like to modify this behavior I would suggest using the CSS editor to target, and change the header styles. @wanderwonderyonderworld if you’re using Tonal then it’s an easy fix. You’ll need to have a plan that allows you to add custom css (Premium or Business plan):

Then navigate to My Sites -> Themes -> Customize -> Additional CSS and paste the following code:
```
h1,
h2,
h3,
h4,
h5,
h6 {
  clear: both;
  color: #111111;
  font-weight: 900;
  text-transform: none; }
```
You can also change the font-weight setting to make it appear less bold if you like.

I’m having the same issue with the Pique theme, will the same fix work for me? Am I able to fix this if I have the Personal plan?

Hi capturedbyk2017:

As @lastfarthing has mentioned above, you will need to have either the Premium Plan or Business Plan in order to add custom CSS. You cannot fix this with the Personal free plan.
