When expanding “>A story that needs to be told” the text appears in duplicate. Deleting one deletes them both.

Hi there,
Thanks for starting this topic — I can totally see how confusing it must be when your post text appears twice when you expand the block. That definitely isn’t expected behavior.
In my experience and from similar issues other users have faced, this kind of duplicate text in a post often comes from the post template itself outputting the same content twice — usually once as the normal content and once as part of the template structure. It can happen if the theme or block pattern is trying to include the same content area more than once.
Here are some things you might try:
✔ Check what template your theme is using for single posts — some block themes or custom patterns accidentally include content blocks twice.
✔ Try creating a very simple test post with only a single heading and one sentence to see if it still duplicates; that can help confirm whether it’s the theme/template rather than the editor content itself.
✔ If you’re using a custom layout or pattern, try removing that and using a basic layout instead — many times the template is rendering a pattern that calls the content more than once.It doesn’t look like anyone else has replied yet, but hopefully one of those checks might point you in the right direction. If you can share which theme you’re using and whether you’ve added any custom template blocks, that could help others troubleshoot more precisely. 😊
Good luck — and thanks again for posting!
