Text is appearing bold

The text on my blog is showing up bolded on most of my entries (except the most recent one) when it’s not supposed to. The first entry is how it’s supposed to look — the only bolded component should be the question at the bottom of each entry. Everything was fine until a few days ago…I haven’t changed any of the settings. Even my Twitter feed is bolded, even though that didn’t used to be either. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

When you see something like this, it’s almost always the omission of a closing tag. In this case, I blame Quebec! Or rather, the post about Quebec that’s currently most recent. The post ends with some bolded text. The strong tag starts the bolding, but there’s no /strong tag to stop the bolding.

To avoid that from happening again in the future, go to Settings>Writing, tick the option “WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically”, click Save Changes.

Ah, thank you both!! You were right, Andrew, it was the Quebec post that was the problem…can’t believe I didn’t see that!
