Text is displayed straight through the right menu
-
I opend a blog yesterday (aboutphoto.wordpress.com), but the text I wrote for two postst just run straight through the right menu… Shouldn’t the text be broken-off automaticly and start on a new line after it reaches the border of the menu?
I couldn’t find anything in the FAQ section or the documentation.

That is very strange, and shouldn’t happen. I would send staff a feedback from your dashboard to let them know what’s going on; the posts have also pushed your sidebar down to the bottom of the page.

Did you by any chance copy the text from a word processor before publishing the posts?
I am wondering if the dodgy formatting attached to things like MS Word is throwing it out.

Nope, I directly typed both posts in the write option of the worpress.com dashboard.
edit: Weird thing, I just posted a post with the word this is a test post, i copy/pasted the first line I wrote repeatedly and now it seems to work fine?
I noticed that the visual editor automaticly put a line/word that didn’t fit anymore onto a new line. Yesterday, I could write a single line beyond the horizontal limit and the visual text editor displayed a horizontal scrollbar…
edit 2: Nope, still does it… Very weird, the first paragraph is written within the borders, the moment I pressed enter for a new paragraph, the edit let me type beyond the horizontal box again, which resulted in agian text through the right menu….
edit 3(hopefully the last one :P):
I think I got to the problem. I use Opera 9.1 as a browser, and I think this causes the problem. I just typed and deleted a nonsense post in IE7 and all seems to be working fine.Pitty, I like using Opera…

Vivian had this issue a few months ago. I can’t remember what the resolution to it was but I know she doesn’t use Opera. It had something to do with what she was pasting…
