Text NOT wrapping onto new line.

  Hi all,

  On many posts I make, on multiple themes (all default, none customised) if I write a long sentence, it doesn’t get wrapped onto a new line, it just continues under (or over depending on the theme) the sidebar.

  It doesn’t happen all the time, and I haven’t worked out if there is a pattern, but it essentially makes the blog worthless because either I go through every line to make sure its on a new line, or people can’t read the text I write.

  Have you changed themes since posting here? I don’t see it happening on your blog with IE7.

  What browser are you using and have you cleared your cache?

  That happened to me when i used Opera (which does not work well together with the WordPress-WYSIWYG-editor). My guess would be to try a different browser.

  Unfortunately, it really seems to be a problem with your editor/browser. I tried following: saved the sourcecode of your page locally in a html file, removed all p tags from one of the affected posts, inserted the p tags back by hand in BBEdit, saved, and now my local copy looks ok.
  The last post looks fine: did you change anything (editor, browser, encoding…)?

  I changed the theme before posting here, but the problem was happening before the change, during the change (when i was trying out a few themes) and afterwards.

  I see the errors in all browsers – Opera, FF and IE7, though no errors in the latest post – as i said, it’s quite random.

  I was using Opera to do the posting though so arsch may be onto something with the WYSIWYG editor. I will try editing some of my posts with another browser and see if that fixes it.

  Yes, if you use Opera to post, this will continue to be a problem. Unfortunately, it’s a problem that has been around for the two years I’ve been at WordPress.com and there’s no cure in sight.

  Do we know whether it is an Opera problem or a wordpress problem?
  It it’s Opera then i’ll go post on their forums.

  I would say it’s Opera *and* TinyMCE.
