Text on whatsapp thumbnail

  When I share my website link on Whatsapp, the text it displays under the thumbnail is the first thing I’d typed when I was building the site, I have since then edited it extensively and that text no longer exists; I also cleared the cache and changed the description on all SEO fields to reflect what I want it to say, but the old text persists on Whatsapp link sharing. What do I do?
