Text options unavailable?

  Hey. I’ve just started a wordpress website, and I’ve noticed that I don’t have the simplest of text options, that others seem to have. I can send a screenshot if necessary, but I can’t even select the text colour. And even after I use HTML to select the colour (which is a pain), I turn the text into a link and it automatically changes the colour back and won’t let me alter it, but I don’t understand why other people have more text options, and I don’t.

  Hi!

  When you’re editing your posts, can you confirm that you’re in the Visual Editor? Here’s a screenshot of what you should be seeing:

  The Visual Editor has buttons that will allow you to change the text color and make formatting changes as described here:
