  How do I add text over thumbnail images?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there! You could add captions to your images to have text display along with them, which I see you have done for some of the images on your site now. :)

  If you want text directly on the image, you could use something like Canva.com to edit the image to add the text over it, then upload the new version onto your site here.

  However, keep in mind when adding text to images, if someone views the image on a small screen, so that the image is small, the text may end up being too small for them to read. If you add any, I’d recommend checking out how it looks on mobile/tablet too to make sure your readers can see what you need them to.

  Hi thanks for responding. I was not clear in what I want to do. I want the text above the image not on it. The opposite of a caption is my best description.

  Is there a page with images on it right now where you would like to add text above them? If you can share a link of the page/post to it plus a bit more detail on what you want to do, I’d be happy to get you started. :)

  In general though, you can use the Editor (https://en.support.wordpress.com/editors/) to insert your images into a page/post and add your text into the page/post as well. There are some formatting options along the top to adjust the size, placement of your text, and more. See here for more info: https://en.support.wordpress.com/editors/

  The link is https://makeityou.org/avon-brochure. I want to put the campaign number and the dates for shopping. For example: “Campaign 6” on the first line and 2/28 – 3/2 on the second line.

  Thanks for the link!

  To add text, open the page to edit, then click where you want some text to go and type it in. Once you have it there, you can highlight it to select it then adjust using the buttons above for things like setting text to bold or changing the style from paragraph to one of the heading options.
