Text / photos not lining up correctly

    Hi All,

    Looks like when I’m trying to align text in the centered white space to the side of my photos on my “Helpful Links” page – it keeps fighting me and ignoring the
    i put in for spacing.

    Any thoughts?

    You meant this:
    <br />
    (To display code in this forum, you need to enclose it in backticks – see the note on allowed markup.)

    First, the br tag is used to force a line break, not to create extra space.

    Second, you need to remove all the useless opening p tags that don’t have their corresponding closing tag. This by itself is wrong:
    <p style="text-align:center;">
    It needs to be:
    <p style="text-align:center;">TEXT HERE</p>

    Third, your problem is due to the wrap-around effect of left- and right-aligned images. When you set the alignment of an image to left or right, the rest of the content is supposed to wrap around (start next to the image instead of below it). You don’t correct this by adding extra space, you correct it by cancelling the wrap-around where appropriate. This is what you need:

    IMAGE1 CODE + COMPANION TEXT

    <div style="clear:both;"></div>

    IMAGE2 CODE + COMPANION TEXT

    <div style="clear:both;"></div>

    ETC

    Thanks, ETC! Still a n00b when it comes to coding, but this will certainly help!
