Text reflow – user-adjustable text width for mobile devices

    Hi
Do any themes on WordPress.com offer full text reflow? I am looking for a theme that will do this. That is, the user can expand or contract the text on a mobile device to increase or reduce the font size, and all text will still fit within the screen margins. Thus, if the user wants large print, the line lengths are automatically adjusted so that there are fewer characters per line, and the text does not disappear behind the left and right margins. This text reflow feature is used on a Kindle device, for example.

If this cannot be done, what are the themes that give the greatest flexibility of display on a variety of mobile devices?

I currently use the TwentyTen theme. I’d be grateful for any advice. Thanks, Rob

We can all use browser shortcuts to increase or decrease font size on any site on the internet that we view. http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2010/01/19/how-to-change-font-text-size-in-your-browser/

However, what you are asking for is really a responsive layout theme.
    See here http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/features/responsive-layout/

The mobile theme is a completely different theme. Know that responsive width means the layout adapts depending on the size of the device being used to view your site. When responsive width themes are viewed on mobiles sidebars appear below the posts in order to provide as much space as possible for reading. When using a responsive layout theme we go > Appearance > Mobile and disable the mobile theme

    Hi timethief
Many thanks for this. Just to follow through with another question – I wonder what a Responsive theme would do better than I’ve already achieved (admittedly with lots of HTML coding) on Twenty Ten? Is it simply that a Responsive theme will convert automatically and effortlessly to an excellent Mobile format, whilst a non-Responsive theme can do the same, but only with serious HTML coding?

This is what I’ve done: using various HTML codes I’ve created a test page with various levels of coloured headers and text enhancements, plus image credits and captions to my liking. It looks good to me on the standard computer screen. Having enabled the Mobile theme, the test page looks equally good on my Samsung Note 3 screen (admittedly this screen is larger than many smartphones, so not perhaps very representative). I’m very pleased with the result.

In the light of the success of this test, I wonder how a Responsive theme would do better than I’ve already achieved on Twenty-Ten (admittedly with some serious HTML coding, which not everyone would want to have to do)?

I ask because I am thinking of changing my theme to (possibly) Twenty-Fourteen, and beginning another website using this theme, too.
    Regards, Rob
