Text size
-
The text size of my blog suddenly got smaller. I don’t know why and would like it to return to the original size. How do I do this. Please be precise because I’ve already tried everything I could think of and I’m pretty computer literate. Thanks, I’d like to get this straightened out ASAP!!!!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

This happened to me as well. As soon as I update it goes to very small font and it will not start a new paragraph.

I viewed your blog linked to your username in the Titan theme using Firefox 5.0 and I do not see what you see. The text is the size that I expect it to be. Have you tried any troubleshooting> See here please as I think you may have a browser issue > http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/ -
@cinchbylaura
I also viewed the blog linked to your username in the Twenty Ten theme and I see a normal display of text size. Have you tried any troubleshooting> See here please as I think you may have a browser issue > http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/
If you are using an outdated browser version you can update it here http://browsehappy.comRegarding your starting a new paragraph problem. If paragraph spacing disappears (which it should not) then highlight everything in the visual editor window and from the “format” pulldown at the left end of the lower tool bar, and select “paragraph.” Typically that will straighten things out.

Thanks I’ll check it out. Here’s the post I’m speaking about: http://cinchbylaura.wordpress.com/2011/07/05/weekly-weigh-in/

Hey whats up? I am also new here as well! So i just did some homework on the question you guys justy ask about! Here the thing in wordpress you can’t change the text like in other programs like Word and Window’s. In wordpress you have to enter in code in the html (weird) A/W here the place to go to on youtube WordPress Tutorials – Change Fonts and Font Size in WordPress! This will help you guys out, as I type I am also going to check this out some more cuz more then likely it will happen to me soon or later.

I can see that you copied and pasted text into that post so that’s what has caused the problem. Typically this is caused by an open HTML tag in your post or by copying and pasting a block of text that has a different font size and style than what you blog is coded to display.Go to Settings > Writing and select “ ___ WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically” and then scroll down and click “Save Changes.”
Now, starting with your latest post, open it in the editor, make one minor change such as adding a space and then deleting it, and then click “Update Post.” Check your blog and see if it is back to normal.
If it’s not, then edit the post you linked to and go into the HTML editor and remove any coding defining font size and style.
If you have been copying and pasting text from elsewhere without using either icon 5 or icon 6 in Row 2 of the visual editor, please see here so you know how to do this correctly in the future. http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/#pasting-text

I’m not clear what you are on about. I am clear about the results of copying and pasting text for example from Microsoft WORD which is not web standard compliant. Please read the instruction I posted for cinchbylaura and follow them.

Thanks for the help. I know nothing about HTML so I’ll have to read up on all of your links later. I clicked the XHTML and did what you said and still is wacky. My new post I did not copy and paste so it couldn’t be that. I’ve been using an old laptop lately so it could be that. I use Google Chrome as a browser on it.

@lawless525
Is this what you are referring to? http://en.support.wordpress.com/editors/font-size-color/ If so then it’s my opinion that those who have posted into this thread have not deliberately entered the HTML editor and coded in a different font size. It’s my opinion that their problem has been caused by copying and pasting text from elsewhere without using either icon 5 or icon 6 in Row 2 of the visual editor as described here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/#pasting-text -
@timethief yup you got it. Thats where they can do the size change of the font.
