Text size change

  • Unknown's avatar

    I have copied some text from Starwriter into the editor and the text is a different size to that of the other blogs. FAQ suggest that there is a clean up text icon that can rectify this. I cannot see this icon. Also, I cannot find any icon that lets me know what text size my blog is. Does anyone know – in novice blog terminology – where I can find this information?

    Thanks.

    Button 26 actually removes most but not all extraneous code introduced by pasting from Microsoft text editing applications; e.g. in ebanflo’s case it won’t remove this:
    <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0;">
    I think a better cleanup would be copying the text from the text editing app (or, for an already published post, from the visual post editor itself) and pasting it via button 24 (“Paste as Plain Text”).

    ebanflo: For future posts either use this method or, better, prepare them in a simple text editor such as Notepad – or in Live Writer.

    Thanks panaghiotisadam, I thought it would remove all formatting.

    Thanks.

    I guess I’ll just have to treat this like a CMS – was quite enjoying not using Notepad. Carocat – thanks to your blog I now know how to apply RSS and am getting your updates.

    Is there a feature on WordPress that provides text size?

    Awesome, glad I could help.

    And you can sort of change your text, but it’s a lot of work, have a look here: http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/06/12/can-i-change-my-font-font-size/

    There’s also the CSS upgrade which you really should only get if you know what you’re doing. http://faq.wordpress.com/2007/10/18/about-the-custom-css-upgrade/

    The easiest way to change the font size is to use an offline blog editor, like Windows Live Writer, to compose your posts. It works seamlessly with wp.com

    Thanks.

    Haven’t used style sheets for some time so might mess up if I mess with these. I can usually manipulate a CMS but am a little stumped by not being able to add search terms, or easily change the size of the font. Just discovered google’s blog search engine but still not getting results in google – although FAQ says 4 – 6 weeks.

    Also, on a slightly different issue – if I am allowed – I’ve removed incoming links to my blog because my blog is written in Jamaican patoise/slang and some of the incoming links were quite spurious. Can I remove an incoming link without removing the option of others coming to the site??

    Ta again.
