text size problem in Firefox

  • Unknown's avatar

Text on my homepage looks fine in Safari and Chrome, but appears too large in Firefox. The first word in the header doesn’t show at all. I cleared the cache and cookies in Firefox, but nothing changed. Also, I tried to make the first post on our very simple site, but can’t get it to go active. the site: frederickstreetoff-leashdogarea.

Thanks for any help you can provide!

I am using Firefox 18.0. 2 and the font size is the same as what I see on the live demo site > http://booklitedemo.wordpress.com/
These are 3 ways to change fonts on wordpress.com blogs.
    (1) Changing font families, colors and size in text in posts or pages either post by post or page by page by coding into the HTML editor. http://en.support.wordpress.com/editors/font-size-color/

    (2) Changing font colors in text in posts or pages either post by post or page by page using the #4 icon (Select text color – change the text color) in Row 2 the Visual editor. http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/#row-2

    (3) Changing all font families, colors and sizes throughout the whole blog by purchasing an annually renewable Custom Design upgrade and using Typekit Fonts with Staff support. http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/

Note: In the majority of themes font changes to font families, colors and size in the blog title, tagline, menu, post titles, page titles, categories and tags, widget headings, comments and links cannot be done without purchasing an annually renewable custom design upgrade and doing the required CSS editing. A few themes do provide for changing font color in the Blog Title and/or optional Tagline and/or links. http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/03/24/color-customisable-themes/

Hi Timethief. Please excuse me for taking so long to reply to your post. I have only had little snippets of time to work on our site. My problem with Firefox is resolved. It was the zoom setting, not anything about the site.

I have another question, though. I have invited the person working with me on the site to take the role of editor. When she got the invitation, she clicked to accept the role, but was brought to a login page that required her to already have a user name and password. We don’t know what to do. Can you please help?

    Thank you!

They will need to click the “Accept Invitation” button in the invitation email. If they are logged into their WordPress.com account, they will be taken directly to your blog. If not, they will be taken to the log-in screen, where they can either log in or create a new user account.

Note that users who create a new WordPress.com account at that point will still need to return to the invitation email and click the “Accept Invitation” button after doing so.
