Text Size Very Small On IE 8 With Hero Theme

  I built my site using firefox and when I went to view it on Internet Explorer 8 all the text in the widgets and most of the body text is extremely too small. I’d say it looks like a 7 or 8 px. I have not edited the CSS or done anything else that might cause this ridiculous size difference between browsers. I don’t have access to the CSS stylesheet I’m using the free version of the “Hero” theme. My guess is the theme is not very compatible with IE. Any ideas how to possibly fix this for IE?

  The site seems to appear fine to me. Make sure your browser’s default text size is set to 100% and that IE 8 is not viewing the site in Compatibility Mode (this renders the site as if it was being viewed in IE 7, which might be causing problems).

  Well I checked again and made sure the text was at 100% and it was, then I turned off the Compatibility Mode because it was indeed on, but it made no difference. I’m assuming you viewed this on IE 8? If so then its a problem with my IE 8, if not then I would like a second opinion from some one using IE 8. Thank you.

  Could you maybe show us a screenshot of what you’re seeing? That might help determine what the issue is.

  The font size of that text is set to 12px, which could be displaying smaller on IE 8. If you have the Custom CSS addon, you could try using the following Custom CSS to make it work properly:

  .widget li {
  font-size: 0.8em;

  Well I don’t know how to enable the Custom CSS addon I have the free version. I didn’t see an option for that. Can you walk me through the process on enabling the CSS addon if its doable for a free account?

  Not only is the widgets like that the text on some pages is like that too.

  The Custom CSS addon costs $30/year. If you’d like to enable it, go the Dashboard then, Store. You will have the option to add the Custom Design addon to your cart and check out.

  IE 8, though, has many quirks, and I’d recommend upgrading your browser, or switching to another major browser like Chrome or Firefox.

  LOL, I use firefox exclusively, its not me I’m concerned about its other visitors using IE, the fast majority of the population is it.

  Ok, well I’m not going to enable CSS right now, thank you.
