text superimpsed on a Vimeo image link
-
When I enter either the embed code or a link to a Vimeo clip, the image that WordPress.com generates shows title text superimposed on the video image. How can I get rid of the overwrite of the title text over the image?
Also, when I submit a query to this support forum, is it possible for me to include a jpeg image so that one can see what I am talking about? The site isn’t published yet.
Here is the home page with the video, just in case this works.

That is just the way Vimeo embeds look. They (Vimeo) set them up to show the title like that.

Thank you for your message.
However, in working through the WordPress.com tutorial, WordPress.com Essentials, that Lynda.com publishes, the instructor demonstrates including a link to a Vimeo file in a post and it does not have the verbiage on top of the video, which is what makes me think that something is wrong.
I have experimented with different formats, including a link to the video and also the embed code that Vimeo supplies, all with the same unwanted result.
Can you suggest a workaround?
I appreciate your help and your time.

As best I can tell, it is possible for you to do if they are your own videos you are embedding:

Thank you. You were terrific to research this from Vimeo.
Problem solved!
