text that accompanies photo no longer visible

The background of my blog site is black, and until three days ago the text was white. Suddenly the text is black so that it is invisible. I then changed the text to white, which is visible, but not to all of the subscribers to my blog. They receive my blog with a white background, and now that I’ve changed the text to white, they do not see any text. I do not understand why my text suddenly turned black when I did nothing different.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The text didn’t turn black by itself: you’ve added that yourself. (Are you copypasting the content from another source?) Switch the editor to HTML and remove all of these:

<span style="color:#ffffff;">all of these:
<span style="font-family:Arial;">and all the corresponding closing tags:

I am computer-ignorant — how do I get to the “editor”? Thank you so much for your help. I am desperate!

1) Posts > All Posts: hover over post title, click Edit, click HTML tab.
2) Never copypaste from Word into the Visual editor: it introduces bad code that messes things up. If you need to copypaste, paste into the HTML editor, so that only the text will be copied, then switch to Visual for further editing when necessary.

Oh, dear. I finally figured out, thanks to you, how to get to HTML, and what Visual editor is, but now I can’t find any of the things you said to remove. The males (pictured) cruise over the water (often beaver ponds, hence their name) as well as the shore in sexual patrol flight, flying back and forth over the same area repeatedly. After mating, the female accumulates a large egg cluster at the tip of her abdomen, and as she drags it along the surface of the water, a long string of eggs is draped over plants. Once these strings expand, they can be several feet in length and an inch or more in diameter.

But in order to get the text to show up white, I had to paste (from Word) into the Visual editor, and you said that wasn’t a good ting to do. You’ve been so helpful I can’t thank you enough. And very patient.

You’re welcome. You had to paste white text because Word has introduced a command for black text around the images. Everything will be back to normal if you remove all the span tags I showed you (the one with the ffffff means turn to white, the one with the 000000 means turn to black).

Yes, if you continue to paste the same way you’ve been doing it.
Use the Post from WORD button in the Visual Editor. It’s on the extented toolbar, the second layer of buttons, the one with the W on it.
