Text vs heading colour link button
-
1) Is there any way to stipulate a darker colour for menu headings as opposed to body text or is it one colour for all text?. I am using the stay theme and would like to choose a darker colour for my blog page box which is available in customise – colours. However, Stay also has a standard light grey outer area. When I choose a dark box background colour for the post page (not full background for site) it has a light colour for the text which is great for the dark background. However the same colour is used for headings – eg the menu headings and against the light grey you can’t see the white text.
2) I have used a link widget to include a link to my Aweber sign up form in the header. Is there a way I can convert the link to a button as the next line below is a button to sign up to follow the blog?
Thanks and regards

You can specify the color for the menu items with the following:
.navigation-main a { color: red; }You can replace “Red” with any hex code value shown here:

Yep! The easiest way to do this would be to find an image you want to use and follow the instructions here:

For the link, you would want to enter the link to your Aweber form.

Hi Jeremy,
Sorry big newbie here – how and where do I put that code to change the tab/menu text colours?
What I want to do is have a black background for my blog posts with white text. But if I have white text you cant read my tab/menu headings as they are also white against a very light grey background.
Thanx

Blimey! That’s my fault. I forgot to tell you where to put it! You’ll want to click Appearance ->Customize -> CSS from your Dashboard and paste the code in there. Can you give that a try?

Understood. This should help change the menu items. Once we get this setup though, if there’s anything else that doesn’t quite look right, just let me know.
