How do I center a text widget? In the example for the Mina Olen theme the text widget on the contact page (category) is centered. There is no option for that as I see. My text widget is aligned to the left by default.

But I have another problem with that widget. It has created an empty space that the showcase template doesn’t have. How can I align the head picture directly under the top menu?

Hello there,
When I view your site, I do see that the theme’s demo shows the same spacing as your site on the Contact page. This is what I see:
Your spacing is slightly larger due to the double-line of text in your widget, but otherwise things appear to be working properly.
If you are seeing something else, please send me a screenshot, so I can better understand the issue. You can simply upload the screenshot to your Media Library, like any other image, and I’ll be able to access it from there. Just let me know when there is something I should look at.

Hello, thank you for your reply! I have several problems that I have posted so I’m really HAPPY to have help from you!
1. The problem with the “gap” appeared when I applied the text widget, then deleted it but the was a gap was and still is there. I will take screenshots and leave them in the Media library. In the Mina Olen showcase the head picture is aligned directly under the top menu.
2. I upgraded my account so that I could change the title/name from uppercase to capitalize but in that process all the texts that were red by default vanished. See the MO showcase.
3. For some reason the contact form is invisible until you click on the headline “Kontaktformulär”. I also had problems with double headlines. I “solved” that temporarily by not having any headlines on my posts…This is not how the theme MO is showed so I must be doing something wrong? Have I somehow created a separate “box” for the headlines?
4. Is there a way to “delete” the Read more “button” so that one can read the whole text at once? I would love to apply this to several of the initial posts as it is kind of irritating to have to click so many times to read important content.
It would be wonderful if you could help me solve these issues! Thank’s in advance!

I maybe have to make no 2 more clear; the texts didn’t vanish as such but the red color did. Now alls these texts (and color plates) are black. For example I would very much want to have all the items under the heading “SENASTE INLÄGGEN” (on the top of the right hand column) to be red again.

Answers to your questions below:

Let’s use a CSS fix to close the gap. In Appearance → Customize, click CSS. Then, paste the following below all existing text:
#sidebar-header {
padding-top: 0rem;
}Save your changes.

I believe you’re referring to your menu here. If so, you got rid of the rollover/red text when you added this CSS code:
body.custom-header #site-title a {
color: #C84D29;
}You must delete it for the rollover color to match the theme’s demo.

This is because you created your contact form on a Post rather than a Page. If you want your contact form to appear in it’s entirety, you’ll need to create a “Kontakt” page and add it to your custom menu:

Your theme defaults to truncated posts on your blog page. As this isn’t part of the adjustable CSS code, we can’t change that.

Thank’s for your answers. I’m afraid I still need some clarification on some of the issues.
1. Do I apply this under every text or only one time in the bottom of all the text coding?
2. I added that color coding because all texts even the titel (Filippa Beijer) changed to black for some reason. Now I feel apprehensive to go in and change that again because it was a hassle to make it red again…AND stay capitalized. I made that change once and it was ok. I saved that change. Then I went back and added another change. Then it seemed to delete the capitalize and only save the second change. So I had to go back and redo it…
3. I get it. Thank’s. Does this apply to all the other posts in my top menu such as Kinesiologi, Massage etc? Because I started to make these as pages and then I looked at the video demo and went back and remade them into posts…
4. Ok no problem, it goes with the theme. :)

I tried to put 1 instead of 0 but then it became as it was before, too low.It looks like this is happening because you’ve added several Custom Menu Widgets to your header widget area. The blank space is being displayed because all of the menus are empty. If you remove all of those Custom Menu Widgets, the gray space between your menu and your header image will go away.

I’m not sure I see where you have capitilization. And as far as I can see, when I remove this code, all of your texts are still red. Can you tell me a specific part of your site that isn’t red when that CSS code is removed? Or where you’re lacking the capitalization you want?

You can use this CSS to change the color of the “News” items:

It does apply to your other menu items. It looks like they’re currently set as Category Pages, which is fine if you’re trying to collect a series of posts there, for example cooking websites sometimes use these Category Pages to collect certain recipes like “Dinner” or “Desserts”.
For your purposes, it looks like Pages would work better for you. Pages are meant for static content that you don’t need to update very often.
Make sure you add all of these items back to your menu through Appearance > Menu.
4. Is there a way to change the language from english to swedish for the Read more “buttons”?
This should happen automatically since your site’s language is set to Swedish, however it looks like we don’t have a translation for that string in our system yet. You can add a translation here:
Once you’ve submitted a translation, it will need to be validated and then deployed before you’ll see it on your site.
