Why can't I add a text widget to my sidebar?

  text widget does not work, cannot add it to the sidebar and activate so that I can create new info.
  also I would like to have the ADD button next to each widget
  can you help please..

  Have you tried dragging it into the sidebar widget area? Is that what you’re trying to do right now? If so, can you tell us what browser (and version of) you’re using?

  yes I tried that but it wont drag it, I have Safari and just installed Firefox as well in order to try and make it work. I managed to write one text with my social icons but now I cant do it anymore
