text widget formating

  I am entering links into my text widget. I add simple html like an <a href> tag and click the “change” button and then click “save” When I preview it, sometimes I see the link added or the font size increased or whatever it is I’m trying to apply, and sometimes I don’t. And when I go back to edit the text widget, my formating is gone or modified. Why is this happening? It’s very frustrating.

  Not sure if I understand what you mean, but the text widgets have a heading and a body, and if you type in the heading field, it probably comes out in bold. ¨
  And I don’t think you have to click change.
  What sort of tag do you mean?
  Please give us a link to your blog.

  There are certain types of dynamic code that will be stripped out for security reasons.

  The tag BTW i believe is smll is refering to is a reference attribute.

  I might be one of your other widgets with an unclosed tag.

  Agreed, dlager. smll here made a link of practically the whole post –
  smll – make sure you close all tags, or it will mess up your blog.
