Text Widget Freaking Out
-
Last night, I got rid of my pages menu and created an entirely new one in the Text widget to make up for the fact that I didn’t have a home button. Last night, it was perfect. I used a table to organize the widget. This morning, I find huge spaces in between each link. I thought that if I got rid of the table and simply used line breaks, it would take care of the problem, but that didn’t work either. Here’s the code I’m currently using:
〉〉 Home
〉〉 Justin
〉〉 Music
〉〉 Downloads
〉〉 Tour
〉〉 Contact</font>You might be saying, well there are huge spaces in your code, hence the huge spaces in your text widget. The thing is – there AREN’T any spaces, but for whatever reason, they simply appear. What the deuce is going on?

I’m clearly an idiot. Check out the source code on my blog . . . Just click the Home link

I don’t see where the problem is: your sidebar looks fine, and your code is ok.
But it would have been a lot simpler to create a home page instead of all this.

Write a new page with the link to your blog as its title. Only note that the name you give it has to be at least two words (“home page” is ok, “home” or “homepage” won’t work).

^Thanks! I found another workaround. I copied the html from the pages widget and added a home page at the top. If it freaks out again, I’ll use your method.
