Text Widget in Footer Not Using Link I Put In

  I’m working on a sister site for my company (go.companyname.com) and am trying to put a link in the footer that goes to the main company website (www.companyname.com). This is the code I put into the text widget:

  Main Company Website

  For some reason, the page it takes you to is go.companyname.com/www.companyname.com, which does not actually exist. Even when I plug in a random link, like http://www.google.com, the link takes you to go.companyname.com/www.google.com instead of google.com. How can I fix this? I’m using the theme Slowave. Thanks!

  Hi,
  Please provide the website address (URL) of a page which includes, in the footer area, the link you refer to so that we may investigate.

  Try including the http:// bit at the beginning of your link like in the Google example and see if that helps.
