See this article
http://en.support.wordpress.com/add-social-media-buttons-to-your-sidebar-or-footer/The text widget is not working for me. After saving the codes, it eliminates all the < a href=”…”>< /a> links and the image becomes unclickable. This is so strange. After saving, the format turns like this – < img src=”….”>< /a>
And no there is no fault in the lines that I made. The same lines worked in other sites where html is enabled. For some reason it just intentionally ignores the links…No sign of of the main links.
I’m using BookLite theme.
p.s. I dont wordpress forum will be able to read the codes or not..so leaving space among them intentionally.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

What exact codes are you using? Post them here between backticks or Code tags so we can see.
-
Giving one line. The rest are same.
<div align="center"><a href="[site-link]"target="_blank"><img src="[image-link]"></a>the target part can be a problem?
-
No. But until I see the ACTUAL code, I cannot help you. I can’t tell which mistakes in that code are elisions you are adding in for privacy’s sake or which are simply mistakes.
-
I found out the problem.
I wrote,<div align="center"><a href="[site-url]"target="_blank"><img src="[image-url]"></a></div>
Instead of,
<div align="center"><a href="[site-url]" target="_blank"><img src="[image-url]"></a></div>The space before target.
Normally wordpress posts and other sites works with it without problem, but the Text widget required the space.
With the space, it is working good now.
