text widget not appearing in sidebar
-
Apologies in advance – i am a total beginner but i’m trying to add a widget to the sidebar of my blog but when i press save, half the coding disappears and it also does not show up. i’m using the twentyeleven theme. I have added other widgets so i’m not sure why this one is causing problems?!
this is the coding I’m trying to paste:
<!–BEGIN HYPE WIDGET–><script src=”http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.4.2/jquery.min.js” type=”text/javascript”></script><script src=”http://lookbook.nu/look/widget/3118023.js?include=all&size=small&style=button&align=right”></script><div id=”hype_container_3118023″></div><!–END HYPE WIDGET–>
I would be soo grateful if anyone could help me! this is driving me round the bend i’m sure it is probably very basic to most people but like i say i am a total beginner!
Thanks :)The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’m sorry but your cannot use that widget on a free hosted WordPress.com blog. All Javascript will be stripped out by the software here at WordPress.con as this is a multiuser blogging platform. http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/

If you can locate a Flash version of the same widget then it may be possible to transform the code into gigya code which you can use on your blog.
http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2010/07/22/gigya-shortcode-3-widgets/Please read this entry: WordPress.con vs WordPress.org so you know what the differences are between thgem.
