text widget not saving
-
My text widgets won’t save.
They were fine until a couple of days ago. Then I tried to add more text widgets with HTML in them (for images linked to Amazon). I clicked the save button, the whirly thing went round and stopped as usual, but the heading for the text didn’t appear here <http://awesomeindies.wordpress.com/wp-admin/widgets.php>
The image didn’t appear on the front of the site either. I tried it with just plain text and the same thing happened.

I tried adding some test values to the empty text widget you have in the “Primary Widget Area” and didn’t encounter any problems.
Can you try again, entering both a title and your content into the widget?
Thanks. -
That’s interesting because that widget isn’t empty from my end. I tried again, but it still didn’t save either with the HTML or plain text. I even deleted the text widget I had there and dragged in another one. Still nothing.

It’s possible that the type of code may be stripped out for security reasons.
Can you please paste the code here? Make sure to use the code button up top.

This is the one I’m trying to put in the secondary widget area. But the text widget won’t even work when I write, ‘this is a test’ in the box.

I have lots of these in other text widgets and they are fine. When I try to alter the ones that are there, they don’t save the new version, just keep showing up what was there before

Just did it and it’s still not working. Fun, isn’t it?
I used this one
<p style=”text-align: center;”><img class=”aligncenter” src=”http://ws.assoc-amazon.com/widgets/q?_encoding=UTF8&Format=_SL160_&ASIN=B0035FZMAU&MarketPlace=US&ID=AsinImage&WS=1&tag=lethalinheri-20&ServiceVersion=20070822″ alt=”” border=”0″ /><img class=”aligncenter” style=”border: none !important; margin: 0px !important;” src=”http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=lethalinheri-20&l=as2&o=1&a=B0035FZMAU” alt=”” width=”1″ height=”1″ border=”0″ /></p>

That seems to have worked properly for me. I saved it in your last Text Widget, the one that was left blank.
Can you please tell us which browser (and version of) you were using?
