Text Widget not working for HTML

  I amtrying to add a PayPal donation button and a google adsense banner but when I paste the code’s into the Text Widget and press save, it doesn’t work. I refresh the page and the button and the banner don’t appear. Could someone please help me with this, thanks!

  First off, user generated advertising is not allowed on wordpress.COM blogs.

  As to the paypal donate button, it is allowed, but you should read Tellyworth’s (staff) comment in the following thread.

  No. If you put ads on your wordpress.COM blog, wordpress will suspend or delete your blog for a violation of the terms of service, and they do scan for ads on blogs, so they would find you. They have no tolerance on that point.

  They may offer an ad upgrade in the future, but they’ve been saying that for the 2+ years I’ve been here, so I would not hold my breath. It is mentioned in the features page: http://en.wordpress.com/features/ .
