Text widget – Pilcrow theme

  I want to add HTML code to my blog which links to another site. Specifically, I want to add Quote of the Day from site http://www.biblegateway.com to my blog. I copied the HTML code provided by that site into a Text widget, it showed in text box and saved. When I viewed blog, the Quote of the Day did not show. I then clicked Edit for that widget and the text box was empty. I retried several times and same thing happens. Tried using IE8 and Firefox. Any suggestions? Thanks

  Can you give the code, you copied from above site. Enclose code within ‘' and ‘ or backticks.

  Oh.. It changed to code. Try pasting the code between < code > and < /code > , without spaces.

  I’m sorry but we cannot use Javascript widgets on WordPress.com free hosted blogs.
