Text Widget to display today’s date
-
How do I get today’s date using the text widget? Is there any variable used to call out the date?
Can I do a simple programming language using the text widget? For example:
If [today’s date] = MONDAY then
display “[name] is in-charge”
else if [today’s date] = TUESDAy then
display “[name2] is in-charge”
end ifIs it possible? Or I have to do this in the CSS itself
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

As for a clock, almost all are based on dynamic scripts (javascript) and we cannot use them on our blogs. See > http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/
The only clock I know of that we can use on wordpress.com blogs is this one http://www.al-habib.info/islamic-clock/digital-clock-ornament-button-01.htm

I’m having trouble getting the clock to appear. Is it a case of just typing the embed code in a tewt widget? I tried this and it did not work.
thanks,
Tom
