text widget to subscribe via FeedBlitz not working
-
Hello there ~
I am trying to add a FeedBlitz subscription link to my sidebar using a text widget. I am set up with FeedBlitz and have followed all the directions provided by WP. I copy and paste the code into the text widget and save changes. After saving I view my blog to find that the subscription link in the sidebar does not have the space for subscribers to enter their email address. Then I go back to check on the text widget and the code does not appear the same as what I had previously pasted. It seems like WP is not allowing the html code I am pasting. I have seen other WP blogs with the FeedBlitz subscription in their sidebars and I am wondering if I need an upgraded account to use this service. Please help!
Thank you ~
Cassandra

following on from what drmike says
on the feedblitz page where you have copied the code from to put into your widget, look down the page a bit. there is a second bit of code which makes a link rather than a subscribe form (which wont work)

There is one? One of those threads had someone saying that a form was the only way to go but I’m glad someone says there’s a second method.
Thanks,

From Feedblitz:
Alternative Subscription Links
When forms are inappropriate, such as in an email, you can use the link below to link to a subscription form hosted at FeedBlitz :
