    Hi,
I have a text widget in the sidebar which I loaded with the contact form html code.
I sent a test message from there but I did not receive it. What did I do wrong?
    Thanks

here is the code i put inside the text widget:
<div style=”font-size:18px;”>For More Info Call xxx-xxx-xxxx or Use Contact Form Below</div>

    [contact-form subject="Message from usedlimos.wordpress.com" to="(email visible only to moderators and staff)"] [contact-field label="Name" type="name" required="true" /] [contact-field label="Email" type="email" required="true" /] [contact-field label="Comment" type="textarea" required="true" /] [/contact-form]

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It may have been flagged by Akismet as spam for some reason.

In your dashboard, scroll down the sidebar to “Feedbacks” and click that. All comments you receive through the contact form will go there, as well as to your email address, and spam comments will stay there & not be forwarded.

I will try to send you a test message & you can see whether you receive it.

Your blog, if it is the one linked to your avatar & name, is not showing with any content. Is this your blog: http://carelesspigeon.wordpress.com/

If it is, there is something wrong with the homepage — the only thing that appears aside from your theme & header is a message saying “Not Found
Sorry, but you are looking for something that isn’t here.” There was no contact widget.

If you are trying to structure your wordpress.com site as a website and are not going to use the blog aspect, you need to change your “front page” so that your homepage doesn’t link to a “Sorry not found” message.

Here’s a support doc that can help you to change your front page from the empty blog to a static page:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/

    This will also be helpful:

And this is key to understand when you’re setting up your site the way you are:

    Pages vs. Posts

I checked the feedbacks as you suggested and the messages (including yours) were there. Thanks mmadfan for your help!
