Text Widget with java Script

    There is a banner that i am trying to add using the text widget, this is for a label to promote my blog, on other forums.
    But since the code is in Java script i m unable to add the same in the text widget.. the usual HTML codes are being accepted and i am able to add those widgets to my side bar.. But the Java script codes are lost the moment i copy them and click on SAVE..
    Can you please help me sort this out.

    Because wordpress.com is a multiuser blogging platform the software here strips some codes to preserve security and javascript it one of them. If using javascript, forms, iframe, embeds, flash, etc. is your thing then you’d best hire a web host and download a free copy of wordpress.org software for self hosting.
