Text Widget won’t let me “edit”

  Under “widgets”, I add the text widget to my sidebar. But, when I click “edit” to add my text, instead of opening up, it deletes the widget from my sidebar. Any help?

  I had this, but clicked save then clicked edit and it was okay.

  Yes, some browsers (IE specifically) are finicky. After adding a widget, click “save changes” before trying to edit it.
