Text Widgets

I seem to have run out of text widgets. What are my options if I want to add a button or another list of some sort? Is there a reason text widgets are limited to 9? Will that change?
So far, I’ve used text widgets for all the various lists on my sidebar, including two blogrolls, and various buttons for sites/causes I support. Perhaps there is a way of inserting those without using text widgets?
I humbly request that this question NOT be answered by Time Thief. Thanks.

Can you combine some adjacent text widgets? For example, The Prophets and The Prophets Sayings might become one text widget, with a heading above the sayings. You might need CSS – some knowledge of, and purchase custom CSS – in order to do it this way to your liking.
As to why there is a limit of 9 text widgets, I’m not sure.
Perhaps Time Thief knows? :) -
Ah, don’t tease. I don’t want to make TT mad, but he gives me high blood pressure and I’d rather nor deal with him in any way, even if that means my questions go unanswered.
I’m tech-challenged to a degree. If something requires extra money or tech-knowledge, I would likely just do without.
Thanks for the response.

Yes, I just deleted 5. Let me see if I can combine 6, 7 and 8. I’m going to try it now. Thanks!

Drmike, I combined 6, 7 and 8, but if you’ll take a look, they have no space between them. How do I insert spaces? I’m sure this is very simple html, so forgive the stupid question.
Appreciate your help.

I note that each of your last few text widgets contains an image, none of which has its own header. You might put all this code in a single text widget, perhaps with breaks or paragraphs between images in order to space them to your liking.

I need some clarity. It appears that I have only 1text widget. I have placed 3 pieces of code into text widget 1. These codes are for get clicky, shiny stats and now blog top sites. After placing the codes in the text widget I look at my site and it appears that my sidebar prompts to those sites are overlapping. Can someone please let me know how to fix this blemish? Do I have more than 1 text widget that I can place individual codes? If so how many text widgets can I have or do I have? Also how many pieces of code can be placed in each text widget? Thanks for your help on this matter.

Text Widgets
How many text widgets would you like? (The maximum is 9).You can place as much data in any text widget as you choose to place in it. You use html to code what you choose into the widget and to align text and images either to the center, to the right right or to the left.
Nosy provide this link to a tutorial I first used to learn about html codes – scroll down to find the chart http://www.web-source.net/html_codes_chart.htm

I think following link would give up a better step-by-step instruction on how can I have more then ‘9’ widget copies?

This works on wordpress 2.2 and 2.2.1 version too

We do not have access to the underlying php for our blogs at wordpress.com and we do not have FTP uploading either. This hack is applicable only to wordpress.org software. Therefore posting the link above will only confuse wp.com people because this hack is not applicable to wordpress.com blogs. The bottom line is we have only nine text widgets at wordpress.com and that’s that.
@trent
Would please remove the link above so bloggers are not misled by it. -
