Text widgets not showing at sidebar

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi,

I tried to put some a text widget at my blog’s side bar but it’s not working, what’s strong as it was working fine previously before I tried changing my blog theme?

    Thanks.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

When you change your theme what you see is the default widget display. They aren’t real widgets. All the widgets you used before you changed themes automatically migrated and they are found here > Appearance > Widgets > Inactive Widgets Box Simply go there and find them and place each one in your sidebar where you want them to appear, click “save” and “close” inside each widget until you are done.

Also note that when you post to these support forums it’s helpful if you provide and active link to the blog in question, or link your username to your blog. Dashboard -> Users -> Personal Settings -> then scroll down to Account Details. Then scroll down to where it says ‘Website‘ select the URL for your primary wordpress.com blog and then save changes.

Now every time you sign into the forum we can all click on your username and your blog will be linked to it. And every time you leave a comment on a blog your username can be likewise clicked and your blog can be instantly located.

    Hi timethief

Thanks for the advise. My blog address: http://ylin.wordpress.com.

I have in fact did what you have posted but unfortunately the text did not appear at the sidebar. Is there anything else that I need to check?

    Many thanks.

    Hi,

It’s ok now after I enable the accessibility mode. :)

    Thanks
