TextBook Theme: quote CSS suggestion

  • Unknown's avatar

I love this Textbook theme, it has been great to find it, since it is really focused on a teacher’s publishing practice.

But I think the way that quotes are edited are not really useful and convenient.

I would like to suggest some kind of modification to the CSS of this theme, so that quotes are more explicitly marked as a quote, as the text not from the author that is writing on the post (a different background, font, some kind of quoting marks at the beginning/end, etc.).

Many thanks if you take this into consideration.

  • Glad you’re liking TextBook!

I just tested a blockquote style and it’s quite different than the rest of the text – it’s in a different font, larger and italicized, as you see here:

Be sure to use the blockquote formatting button in the editor around the text you want marked as a quote. That’s button #8 in the second screenshot here:

If that’s not what you’re seeing, could you provide a link to a blockquote on your site so I can take a look? Thanks!
