Textbook Theme: Recent posts on homepage

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi there,

    I have created a static homepage and an articles page, however I would like two make two changes:
    1) That the home page does not display latest posts. I know if I create a new static landing page this will eliminate this problem, but then I lose that lovely first page look
    2) That my blog post page should not show featured articles, testimonials and essentially just look like the home page as it is.

    I’m sure I’m doing something wrong, so any help would be appreciate.

    Thanks!

    If you’d like to keep your featured posts on the homepage, but remove the other recent posts below that, you can add this to your custom CSS panel in the Customizer:

    /* Hide posts on front page */
    .home .content-area {
      display: none;
    }

    2) That my blog post page should not show featured articles, testimonials and essentially just look like the home page as it is.

    If you’d like to remove the featured posts and testimonials area from this page:

    Try adding this to your custom CSS:

    /* Hide featured content and testimonials on blog */
    .blog .featured-content,
    .blog .front-testimonials {
      display: none;
    }

    Let me know if this accomplishes what you’re after.

    Also just a heads-up that since your site has a Premium plan, you’re entitled to live-chat and email support, accessible here:

    You’re welcome to still post in these forums, but those other support avenues may be faster, and you’ll always get a staff reply.
