Texts don't show in Gallery format of Manifest

  I’m using Manifest theme in my blog. It supports gallery format in posts. I’ve many posts in Gallery Formats, for example: http://wpgaurav.wordpress.com/2011/03/05/curves/ . In this post, in addition to gallery, I had written details about the Algebraic Curves and had cited the source. But Now no text is showing up there. Why is it so? Is it Theme Property or a bug?

  Do you mean the captions under the thumbnails or text below the image on an attachment page?

  No. Actually that post is of this type:
  Title
  Paragraph
  [gallery]
  another Paragraph
  –
  Here only Gallery (with captions) is showing not paragraphs.

  Absolutely a problem with the theme, but whether a bug or as you say a theme property,

  My feeling is theme property, but if so, as you quite rightly pointed out, not very useful for previously published posts that include text!

  But still texts don’t show in attachments.

  Hi, wpgaurav. On the home page Manifest only shows the gallery in Gallery Posts by design. It shows the full post content for on single post pages for Gallery Posts.

  Hi Ian, when wpgaurav first posted above with a link to a single post using the Gallery format in Manifest, there was no text, only the thumbnail images and captions. After he changed the post format to Standard, the text in that post appeared.

  I see that he has meanwhile changed his blog’s theme to Twenty Ten.

  @themeshaper so no text appears on the front page in posts using the Gallery post format. Unfortunately that also seems to be true for single posts and attachment pages. .

  I’d be happy to post screen shots from agallerydemo if needed

  I really love the theme manifest, because of Times New Roman font in paragraphs. In my blog, now with twentyten, I’m manually changing the fonts to TNR font. Please, Improve manifest.

  Thanks for pointing this out, justjennifer and wpgaurav. I can confirm that manifest has been updated to show both the full content on permalink pages for Gallery posts and image descriptions on image attachment pages.

  @themeshaper That’s great. I confirm your confirmation. :) Thank you. BTW I’m not switching to Manifest now, because this incident made me to love twenty eleven.
