Thanks for the new Social Icons Widget & 2 Questions
-
Thanks for the new Social Icon widget! Easy to install and looks great.
Here are my questions.
1. Is there a way I can add some code to each icon so that when people click on it, it opens in a new tab instead of in the same tab as my blog?
2. How do I set up a ‘Follow by Email’ icon? I tried doing that using the WordPress icon but was unsuccessful. I’m missing what I need to do somehow; I see on the Icons list that setting up an email Icon is possible, I just haven’t been able to do it successfully.
Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Here is the guide to explain you to add Social Media Icons Social Media Icons Widget
If you face an issue in it, you can use the Href code to open in a new page, its small HTML code, here is a staff thread,https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/how-to-open-links-on-my-front-page-in-a-new-tab?replies=11

Also, there is a way to have a Blog Subscription within the blog, which could be helpful.

Hi there,
1. Is there a way I can add some code to each icon so that when people click on it, it opens in a new tab instead of in the same tab as my blog?
It is not possible with this widget, no. @pavanraheja, please check the widget and the documentation before providing an answer like this. This widget has no place to add an href attribute to the link, nor any other way to force links to open in a new tab.
2. How do I set up a ‘Follow by Email’ icon?
There’s no way to add an icon to do this. You’ll need to use the widget that Pavan linked to for you above.
