THAT DIDN'T HELP – I am not talking about Google – Iam talking about WordPress
-
in the Menus section – I can only drag one item at a time and yet it takes 15mins to get that one item in place – google keeps telling me that the Site is not responsive and that i have to either Kill the Pages or Wait – so I click wait and it goes on and on – WHAT CAN I DO TO MAKE THIS PROCESS ANY FASTER????
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

When you are on the Appearance > Menus page in your dashboard, there are links inside each menu item that say things like “Up one”, “Down one”, and “To the top.” You should be able to use those instead of dragging the items.
Can you try those links instead of trying to drag the menu items? Here is an example of what they look like: https://cloudup.com/cHv8mhOF2I2
If you’re still having trouble after that, one basic browser troubleshooting step you can try is to clear out your browser cache and completely close down the browser then open it back up and log back in to try again.

thank you for responding – i did all of the above it still takes time in fact while I writing to you I’m waiting for one title to go to the right category.
i guess before I listed things and moved them right away to the categories and to the menus window I should have done One category at a time list everything in it and then place it to the Menus window.
Still I believe there must be a faster and better way you can design this to enter the Item and Category, and int the Menu windows faster – this is just a suggestion and not an insult (sorry)!!!
My site has to do with Recipes and as i go along I will enter a few at a time but i figured when you categorized it it should go automatically to the right category, just like the Tags Section.
Well Thank you, sorry if i sound abit annoyed !! -
I took a closer look at your site, and I think I found the problem. I noticed that you have added over a hundred categories in your “My Recipe Booklet” menu on the Appearance > Menus page in your blog. Putting too many category menu items into one menu like that will cause everything to slow down. Menus just weren’t designed to be used to add so many category items.
To get around that, there are a couple different possible solutions. You can make a menu with fewer items and link them to more general categories such as salad, pasta, sauces, stew, etc. Or you can re-create your menu and set each item up as a page instead of a category. Even if you were to do that though, you would still not want to put hundreds of items in a single menu.
I would recommend using the first solution suggested above: use a much smaller menu with more general categories. Or you could make a smaller menu with pages and use the archives shortcode on the pages to display a list of posts in a given category.

Thank you, I just thought that’s how it should be in order to separate each category. I was only allowed two menu titles, the one that has my Pages and/or blogs, and the other that has my recipes in separate titles, such as salads, Soups, etc….. with subfolders such as Rice is added.
I will study the Archive Shortcut and see if that helps. On the other hand should the Categories be Titles and the word Folders and Sub-folders would be part of the Titles????
e.g. : Menu: My Recipe Booklet:
Category: Chicken Meals (Title)
Folder: Chicken with Lemon Sauce (Recipe)
Sub-folder: White Rice ( side dish)Just to give you an idea why i have it done that way.
Apart from this – is it possible for followers to view my Gallery Photos a bit larger and also be able to stop and clearly see the picture???? I had comments that they can’t stop the photo and look at the item long enough – is it because i put it on slideshow???
Again Thank you for your help, I really appreciate it.
I have been looking hard for a site and found this very easy to do and love it so hopefully I can get it right.Margaret D

I just thought that’s how it should be in order to separate each category.
It’s definitely not the best way to do it because it’s slowing everything down!
On the other hand should the Categories be Titles and the word Folders and Sub-folders would be part of the Titles????
e.g. : Menu: My Recipe Booklet:
Category: Chicken Meals (Title)
Folder: Chicken with Lemon Sauce (Recipe)
Sub-folder: White Rice ( side dish)Categories are usually things like: soups, salads, sauces, etc. Titles are usually more specific, such as the name of the recipe. In the menu area, if you are going to link to a single page, you should not use the category option and instead use the page option. Does that make sense? However, if you make a menu with hundreds and hundreds of pages in it, then it might still get slow because you shouldn’t put too many things in each menu. That’s why I suggested the archives shortcode. But I just looked at it again, and now I think that the display posts shortcode might be better because it has an option for category which is probably better than the archives shortcode for your case.
Try creating a new page as a draft and then adding this to it:
[display-posts category="chicken-turkey-meals"]Then preview the page to see how it works.
Here is the related support page:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/display-posts-shortcode/I think that might work best for you based on what I saw at your site. Give the draft idea a try!
Apart from this – is it possible for followers to view my Gallery Photos a bit larger and also be able to stop and clearly see the picture????
Are you talking about the slideshows in the sidebar on the right under headings like “Party Platters” and “Show-and-Tell Photos”? What might work better than those would be to create new pages and put a gallery inside it and select the “Tiled Mosaic” option instead of the “Slideshow” option. Try following these steps in another draft page to see what I mean:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/gallery/#adding-a-gallery-or-slideshowI had comments that they can’t stop the photo and look at the item long enough – is it because i put it on slideshow???
You can let your users know that they can stop the slideshow by clicking on the pause button in the middle. The pause button will appear when you hover your mouse over the slideshow.
