That little image next to the blog's name on the Reader page

When I look at my Reader page (the blogs I follow), I’ve noticed some of the blog names have a little square custom image next to them, while others have a default gray square with a round image inside. This is right above the title of the post itself. I have no idea what this little custom image is called :-) but where can I find out how to add it to my own blog? Thanks much.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I think it is the logo of the blog. First, go to customize mode, then click the pencil near the title of your blog and then you can see that you can change the title. Below that you’ll see a sign called Logo. Click add a logo.

Thank you. I tried that, but clicking the pencil didn’t do anything (actually, the cursor didn’t turn to a pointing finger, just stayed as an an arrow). I could click on the blog name, but that just kept me on the customizer. Maybe you can’t do that with my theme, which is Twenty Eleven.
