"That method is not allowed."

    Hi!
    I can’t save my blog post or publish it.
    This message keeps popping up at the top of the screen when I try to:
    “An error occurred while saving the post.
    That method is not allowed.”
    Can someone tell me what I need to do?

    Hi there!

    Sometimes specific settings in your internet browser, computer, or network can cause that error. Do you have cookies enabled in your browser? It looks like you’re using Chrome as your browser, which means you can check those settings with these steps:

    1. Open Chrome’s settings page (you can visit chrome://settings/ in Chrome to get there)
    2. Click “Show advanced settings…” at the bottom of the page
    3. Under Privacy, click the Content Settings… button
    4. Under Cookies, check which setting is selected.
    5. The recommended setting is “Allow local data to be set (recommended).” That allows cookies, which are used on many sites including WordPress.com to make sure everything works correctly. If you have “Block sites from setting any data” selected, and you want to keep that setting, please be sure to add an exception for [*.]wordpress.com by clicking the Manage exceptions… button there.
