How do I do the $18 upgrade? I just started my blog on Friday and it said that I can upgrade at any time. For right now I just wanted to do the simple $18 upgrade so wordpress isn’t included in my email. I can’t figure out how to do that?

It sounds like what you want to do is purchase a custom domain. To purchase upgrades, go into the dashboard of the blog you want to upgrade and click on “Store” on the top left. Once you’re in the store you will see “Add a Domain.” Click that and you will be able to register your domain name without the wordpress.com part.
