  The “add new” bar on the themes page to upload my own theme is not showing up.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there.

  Themes can’t be uploaded to sites hosted on WordPress.com. They can only be uploaded to self-hosted sites running on WordPress.org software. You can read more about the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org here:

  Here at WordPress.com, we offer a variety of over 300 hand-picked themes for you to choose from, and we add more to this list frequently. You can view all of the themes in our repository and filter them by specific criteria here:

  I had downloaded the template from gentsthemes.com (instantWP). I am a graduating graphic designer and need a template that works really well for portfolios. Specifically something where the home page can have single images that allows the viewer to click on any project for more information and images

  WordPress.com sites come with the option of activating a Portfolio content type:
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/portfolios/

  With this content type activated, you can include your Portfolio projects in any of our themes although we do have a number of themes that were specifically designed with Portfolios in mind. You can filter for these in the theme showcase:

  I’d encourage you to have a browse through and experiment with a few different themes to find one that’s perfect for you. :)
