  Hi there! We are already on the wordpress platform with thearctichideaway.com.
  We are looking into rebuilding the site from scratch, but was suddenly worried if I transferred the domain now it would go online before it is finished. Is there a good way to build first and transfer afterwards?

  Yes, on WordPress.com you can create your site with a free .wordpress.com subdomain – just type the whole address when you’re prompted to choose a domain. Then, once you’re ready to publish your site, you’ll be able to either map your domain or transfer it here.
