'The author has deleted this account'?
-
Hi.
A fellow user is trying to follow me, but when she clicks on my name on one of her blog posts, she gets the message above.
I have never knowingly deleted my account. I’m an active user.Other users have managed to follow me in the last few days.
Please help.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It could be because your username is currently linked to moodymans77.wordpress.com which has indeed been deleted
To change the site linked to your username, go to https://wordpress.com/me/account and change what is written under Web Address.
If you have already left comments on other people’s sites with this account (even changed), the old site will still be linked to your username. There’s no way to amend this. It will only change for new comments going forward.

I’ve changed the address. When I click on my name in posts noes it still says this account does not exist and asks me ifI want to change this to upgrade to premium.
What options, if any, do I have now?

I’m not aware that changing the address linked to your username under Web Address in your account would cause this to happen (unless you’ve misspelled your web address).
I’ve tagged this for Staff input.

Hey there,
The blog URL that you updated your account to is also deleted (jasonmoodyblog.wordpress.com). So, that is why you are still receiving that message when clicking on your name.
Once you update your account with a active site, it should no longer be an issue.
Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!

/face-palm
@jasonmoody As well as the one now linked to your username jasonmoodyblog.wordpress.com
Can you tell us what it is you intended (or are intending) to do and we can perhaps try to point you in the right direction?
