The "author/username" link shows a non-existant username?
-
On my blog, I changed the username when I set up a domain. When you click on the “Posts by” link on any posts that I post the author in the URL shows as an old username which doesnt exist anymore. Why is this and can it be changed?
The link itself shows as “Posted by Doug” as that is what my new username is set to show under my profile, but the physical URL link links to “authors/dougsoft” which is an old username I used to use and isnt in use anymore?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi. Have you tried changing the author of the posts to your new username?

Nope that doesnt do anything. The name already shows correctly in the website but if you hover over the link or click it the URL has the old author name which doesnt exist anymore but for some reason wordpress can still use it

Sounds like you’ll have to either change themes to one without an author link or contact staff via your Dashboard Help button and get them to change it.
