The background disappears partway down the page
-
Hello, Everyone,
Please help. I use a template, ’cause I’m not savvy enough to create my own blog design. My blog uses black text on a white background, with a dark brown background behind the white bit.
Unfortunately, I just noticed that the white backdrop disappears partway down the page:

Any idea why this happens, and what I can do about it?
Thanks!
Monte

I’m not seeing the problem myself, but try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies.

Hi, I’m having a similar problem. My white background behind the text disappears once I click on my site. I have no idea how this happened. I can’t read the text in my blogs now because if only shows my background images. Please help.

These are the troubleshooting steps we take whenever any issues like this arise:

using the browser with all extensions or add-ons disabled
updating the browser to the latest stable vesrion (not a buggy BETA browser version) http://browsehappy.com/
confirming third party cookies is enabled http://support.google.com/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=61416

trying another browser like Firefox or Safari
resetting your router and modem -
It seems to work now after I cleared the browser history. That was easy! Thank you for your support.

Thank you, everyone, for your helpful replies. Nothing seems to have worked, but I opened the site on Explorer and it looks fine, so for now I’ll just deal with it in the hope and assumption that it only looks this way for me.

In some themes, this can also be caused by an open HTML tag in one of your posts.
Go to settings > writing and select “WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically” and then click “save changes.”
Now, starting with your latest post, open it in the editor, make one minor change such as adding and then deleting a space, and then click “update post.” Check your blog and if it is back to normal, you are golden. If not, open the next post and do the same thing till it goes back to normal.

Damn, I thought that would work, but alas, it’s still doing it. I may just have to change the theme, which is unfortunate because Choco is perfect for the tone of my goofy blog.

Sorry, sacredpath, I was out of town!
Here is the URL:

I switched the theme, but I’ve switched it back to Choco just in case someone else has any other ideas.
