the beginning

    Hi All –

    I have a design for a blog that I want to implement. I think it’s best for me to start on wordpress.com and pick a theme that I can buy an upgrade for to customize the CSS but since I am very new to blogs and blog design I have lots of questions. I do read that with most themes or sandbox that if I am savvy at CSS I can change the design to be my own – for the most part but I can’t even find a theme that has a background image/custom colors/ and a 3 column flex width theme. I believe that I need these items to be in an existing theme for me to manipulate – is that not correct? I can’t add these things to the CSS if I don’t have access to the other pages, right? And I cannot upload a entirely new theme to wordpress.com if I find one elsewhere that works better for me, right?
